Public houses (better known as pubs) are businesses that serve alcoholic drinks such as beer and ale, to be consumed on the property, and are usually very friendly places to meet new people. Pubs are found in English-speaking countries, especially in England, Ireland, and Scotland.

I would like to have them in my country
I tried going to a pub once, but they said they did not allow dogs. I told them that I was a very educated, English-speaking dog, but they still refused. It hurt my feelings.

I really love the pub atmosphere; it's so easy to meet people and everyone is in a pretty good mood. It's also a great place to watch football and rugby matches. Another round of pints please!
